Events & Training

with Rebecca Wren

Meaningful shifts begin when we make room for all of it: the joy, the pain, and the mystery of being alive. Rebecca’s events are spaces to explore how the neuroscience of memory and the mind can empower us to greater compassion and coherence. Clinical trainings allow helping professionals to deepen their skills and discover approaches that can impact the clients who feel most out of reach. Community events are places to connect, learn, and receive practical support. New events are added throughout the year.

The Theory and Practice of Deep Brain Reorienting

10:00 AM to 1 PM CT
|
Live Zoom Event
Free

A free Zoom event for therapists and helping professionals exploring the theory of Deep Brain Reorienting alongside a live therapy demonstration.

Sometimes, no matter how dedicated we are to depth work, some wounds feel too big, too vast, or too resistant to change. Deep Brain Reorienting was developed with exactly those client struggles in mind.

DBR works with the neuroscience of traumatic learning to gently unwind embodied and emotional processes at the source. It is a deceptively subtle process that works directly with pre-affective shock, the first neurochemical response that cues the brain and the body to wake up, pay attention, and attend to danger.

In this free Zoom event, Rebecca walks through the foundational theory of DBR and offers a live therapy demonstration. The training covers how DBR supports clients navigating:

  • Shock trauma
  • Attachment Wounding
  • Dissociation
  • Rumination
  • Rejection sensitivity

Rebecca will be extending this session to include more questions and more audience participation, so please feel welcome to join even if you attended in March.

Rebecca Wren, LPC is a Level 3-trained DBR therapist based in Austin, Texas, engaged in ongoing DBR consultation. This event is open to therapists and helping professionals at any level of familiarity with the approach. No prior experience with DBR is required.
